3rd August 2024 - The Keep Grangemouth Working campaign group held a protest that was supported by workers, community members and trade unionists who marched in support of five hundred refinery workers and the thousands more dependent upon it that would be lost if proposed plans to close Scotland's only oil refinery went ahead. This came on the back of an announcement by the refinery owners, Petroineos, to transition the refinery operations to an import and export oil terminal facility.
